2011 Cultural Exchange Network

New Detroit’s Cultural Exchange Network (CEN) consists of organizations and agencies from metropolitan Detroit’s multicultural communities, and those serving them. Cultural Exchange Network members work to enhance interaction among racial and cultural groups through cross cultural dialogue. (Network members are listed below).

The intent of this network is to increase collaboration on levels that will increase greater understanding and cooperation between these ethnically diverse communities. A collaboration that takes place annually is the Concert of Colors. This diversity festival, presented by the Arab American National Museum, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Institute of Arts, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, New Detroit and ACCESS, brings volunteers from all of the member organizations together to put on this world music festival at the Max M. Fisher Music Center.
